Day 1: Cusco - Km 82 - Llactapata - Hatunchaca

Uno Traveler Peru will assist you at your hotel at 6:30 am and then transfer you to the KM. 82, starting point of the Inca Trail. After enjoying a nutritious breakfast, we will go to the checkpoint and begin this incredible adventure along the ancient Inca trail, we will begin to walk for 6 hours to the camp located in Hatunchaca Village (3000 m / 9843 ft).

Day 2: Hatunchaca - Warmiwañuska - Pacaymayu

Our high mountain expert staff will wake you up with a cup of coffee, tea or coca leaves at the door of your tent to later enjoy your breakfast and then begin the second day’s hike. You will begin with a 4-hour climb to Llulluchapampa for lunch (3800 m / 12467 ft). After lunch, we will continue our uphill climb for 2 hours to Warmiwañuska (4215 m / 13829 ft). Once at the top, you will take some time to explore and enjoy photo shoots and continue with the descent for 2 hours to the Phuyupatamarca countryside

Day 3: Pacaymayu - Chaquicocha - Phuyupatamarca

After a wake-up tea, a nutritious breakfast and our backpacks ready, we began our third day of hiking the famous Inca Trail. After 2 hours of walking, we will reach the second highest pass on this route. Runcu Pass Raccay (4,000m – 13,123ft) after this point we continue our journey with a gradual descent of approximately 4 hours to the Phuyupatamarka camp. During the day we will have the opportunity to see and explore several Inca archaeological sites, Runcu Raccay , Sayacmarca , Conchamarca and Phuyupatamarca . ¡A perfect place to spend the night, watch the stars and have a magical sunrise!

Day 4: Phuyupatamarca - Wiñaywayna - Machu Picchu Pueblo

This day will be a wonderful sunrise with a magical and charming landscape in Phuyupatamarca You will have the best views of the entire Inca Trail; You will enjoy an unforgettable awakening and breakfast. Next, you will begin a 6-hour hike to Machu Picchu. You will visit the Inca site of Intipata, Wiñaywayna, and arrive at Intipunku from where you will have a unique view of Machu Picchu. Day 5: Machu Picchu (Lost City of the Incas) - Cusco

This day you will wake up at your hotel and then have a breakfast with a variety of options, then we will board the bus to the magical city of Machu Picchu, here you will have a guided tour in the company of your Guide, visiting all the corners that your circuit offers you, on a 2-to-3-hour tour, visiting the best of Machu Picchu, climb Huayna Picchu (optional). After the tour you will have the option of meeting the group with your Guide at a restaurant in the area. Later, you will take the exclusive panoramic train back to Ollantaytambo and later to Cusco.

ITINERARY

Your professional Uno Traveler Peru Guide will assist you at your hotel around 05:00 am, and then head with the entire group to KM. 82, starting point of the Inca Trail. After breakfast and passing the official control of the Inca Trail, you will begin to walk for 6 hours to the camp located in Hatunchaca. Village (3000 m / 9843 ft).

The first 2 hours takes us to Pata-Llacta, the first Inca site along the way. Later we continue to the lunch point, where our expert mountain cooks await us with various stews prepared with ingredients from the area. After lunch we continue for a couple of hours to the Hatunchaca camp, where the support staff will be waiting for you with the tents already made accompanied by a snack and a hot drink. so, you can have a pleasant rest after dinner.

DAY OVERVIEW:

A cup of hot Coca mate, Tea or Coffee will be offered to you when you wake up and then enjoy a nutritious and delicious breakfast, since this will be the most challenging, after a 4-hour uphill walk we arrive at Llulluchapampa , where we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch. After having enjoyed a well-deserved lunch we will continue for approximately 2 hours to Warmiwañuska . At 4215 m / 13829 feet, the highest point of the entire Inca Trail, at this point we will enjoy some photographic shots. We will wake up on our third day in the middle of an impressive valley surrounded by mountains and waterfalls with crystal-clear waters. After having finished breakfast, we began our uphill walk towards the second highest pass on this route, Runcu. Raccay (4,000 m / 13,123 feet) on the way we will visit the Inca site of Runcu Raccay . After this pass we will continue our journey along a downward path to the archaeological site of Sayacmarka , from this point about 20 minutes to the lunch place in Chaquicocha (dry lake, 3600 m / 11811 feet). Fed and energized, we will continue for two more hours to our camp in Phuyupatamarka (City in the Clouds) with spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the Machu Picchu Intipata mountain (Terraces of the Sun). You will be able to admire a beautiful sunset over the Vilcabamba mountain range before dinner, with a clear view of the constellations. This is the perfect place to stargaze!

With the difficult part well and truly over, you can relax and enjoy the easiest and possibly most exciting day of the hike. Today’s route is extremely varied, and is only a 5-hour hike to Machu Picchu. Along the way, you will pass through several different ecosystems. We will visit two Inca sites, Phuyupatamarka (City in the Clouds), with spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the Machu Picchu Mountain and Intipata (Terraces of the Sun). In Intipata, there will be time to rest and enjoy its magical surroundings. We will arrive at Wiñay Wayna at approximately 11:00 am for lunch, and then you will enjoy some free time to relax and unwind at this important Inca site, where your guide will explain the history of this fantastic place. After lunch, we will walk for an hour to Puerta del Sol, from the Intipunku, which is truly an unforgettable sight. We will begin our one-hour descent towards Macchu Picchu. We will arrive late and take photos of the sacred Inca city while it is almost empty. For later, take the bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes, where Uno Traveler Peru has reserved a room for your pleasant and well-deserved rest.

On our last day, the most anticipated day arrives, we will visit the ancient Inca city Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. We will go directly to the line to wait for the first bus that goes up to Machu Picchu.
