ITINERARY
DAY 1: CUSCO - CAPULIYOC - CHIKISKA – SANTA ROSA
Uno Traveler Peru will assist you at your hotel at 5:00 am. You will then be driven in a private transport for approximately 4 hours . On the way we will have a short breakfast, then we continue to the start of the hike, Capuliyoc (2,850 masl / 9,407 feet). Here we will meet our muleteers or horsemen in charge of carrying all our adventure equipment. Once ready we begin our expedition along a path that will lead us downhill passing through Coca Masana , until we reach the hamlet of Chiquisca (1,893 masl / 6,210 miles), where we will stop to enjoy an exquisite lunch. After lunch we continue our walk along the same downhill path to Playa Rosalinas (1,475 masl / 4,840 ft), a camping site for some travelers. From this point we continue uphill to Santa Rosa (1,900 masl / 6,234 ft) where the tents will be ready. At night we will enjoy a nice dinner and then have a well-deserved rest.

DAY 2: SANTA ROSA – MARAMPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO
A 6:00 am wake-up tea and/or coffee offered by the Uno Traveler Peru adventure team announces the beginning of our second day of the Expedition to Choquequirao, the City of Gold. After a delicious and nutritious breakfast, we continue our hike uphill until we reach the hamlet of Marampata (2,850 masl / 9,350 feet), from where we can already appreciate Coquequirao and the surrounding buildings. We continue our hike for approximately 40 minutes through a microclimate with an amazing variety of flora and fauna until we reach the campsite in the surroundings of the charming archaeological site of Choquequirao (3,057 masl / 10,029 feet). After lunch, you will have some time to rest and then your Guide will take you to tour a part of this interesting place. At night, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and then rest.

DAY 3: EXPLORING CHOQUEQUIRAO THE CRADLE OF GOLD
A wake-up tea made from Coca leaves at 6-00 am at the door of your shop announces the beginning of a new day in the mountains of Choquequirao. After you enjoy your breakfast in the middle of this wonderful landscape, you will have the whole day to explore this magical and charming place. Your tour will be divided into two parts. In the morning we will visit the upper part and in the afternoon the lower part.
Choquequirao is home to an area of nearly 1,800 hectares, covered by dense vegetation (the same as Machu Picchu until 1911), until the early 1990s when the restoration and restoration process began, with only a little more than 30% having been restored to date and a lot of material still to be restored and discovered in the midst of the dense vegetation. As a result of this scenario, archaeologists and researchers make new discoveries and findings every year that surprise locals and foreigners. Wake up with a cup of tea or coffee to start your last day of the Expedition to Choquequirao the City of Gold, after breakfast begin your walk uphill for approximately 4 hours to the final point of the hike Capuliyoc . Here our The cook will provide you with your last lunch and it will be an opportunity to say goodbye to our Cooks and Riders.
