This tour is designed for those who love to walk in the mountains. Uno Traveler Peru has designed this itinerary on a 4-day hike along the route to Andean spirituality, this being a trip for anyone who likes to be in contact with the customs and traditions of the people in the Andes, this will be your trip that will leave you with unique and unforgettable experiences.
During these 4 days of adventure we will pass 4 passes each day, being very close to glaciers such as the Apu Ausangate, we will border colorful lagoons, we will come across farms of llamas, alpacas and other common species of the area, on some days we may be able to see a Condor there, a sacred bird of the high Andean people. This walk will be a magical and mysterious delight, you will experience diverse landscapes, you will enter the remote Andean culture and at night we will be able to delight in the constellations in a sky not too far from us.

AUSANGATE AND RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – 4D/3N
ITINERARY
DAY 01: CUSCO - TINKI - UPIS
This adventure through the high mountains of the city of Cusco begins with the pick up from your hotel at 06:00 am. Uno Traveler Peru will assist you and then transport you for approximately 3 hours to the district of Ocongate (3,533 masl / 11,591 ft.). Here we will have a stop for breakfast at a local restaurant (optional) after an hour we will arrive at the community of Tinki (3,800 masl / 12,467.19 ft.), here we will meet our riders and horses to begin this mysterious walk that will take us along the great Ausangate Mountain (6,300 m. / 21,000 ft.) until we reach the mountain of colors. On our way we will see alpaca and llama farms, our walk will be along a smooth and quiet path until we reach the Upis camp (4,435 m / 14,107 feet) in Upis we will enjoy a delicious lunch and in the afternoon we will have time to visit the Upis Lagoon later we will have a delicious dinner and spend the night at the Upis camp.

DAY 02: UPIS - ARAPA PASS – PUCACCOCHA
A wake-up tea at the door of your tent announces the beginning of a new day. After a fortifying breakfast we begin our second day of hiking. You will walk very close to the peak of the Ausangate glacier and you will have incredible views of this mountain, as well as beautiful lakes that, due to their mineral content, acquire different colors and shapes. Along the way we will come across wild llamas, alpacas and vicuñas that graze in these uninhabited places and perhaps a Condor will be seen flying above us. After 3 hours of hiking we will reach the highest point of this day, the Arapa Pass (4,800 masl / 15,748 feet). After enjoying the area and taking some incredible photos for the memory, we continue walking gradually downhill for 30 minutes to the Yanaqocha lagoon , here the expert cooks of Uno Traveler Peru will be waiting for us with a delicious and succulent lunch. After lunch, we walk for another 2 and a half hours to reach our camp on the slopes of Ausangate Mountain next to Laguna Puca Ccocha (Red Lake) (4,500 masl / 14,760 ft). This camp is one of the most beautiful due to its location and the surrounding landscape.
Upon arrival at the camp you will have the option of enjoying a hot tea and/or coffee to combat the cold. At night, it will also be an optional time to appreciate the constellations such as the famous Southern Cross.

DAY 03: PUCACCOCHA – ANANTAPATA – SURYNI CCOCHA
A wake-up tea at 05:00 am at the door of your tent announces the beginning of our third day, after a nutritious breakfast we begin our walk, this time our path will take us along an uphill trail to reach the Puca Pass after 2 hours. Ccocha (4,997 masl / 16,391 ft), Once you reach the pass of this mountain, you will be located right in front of the Ausangate Mountain and you will see the highest peak of this, you will also be able to enjoy a 360 ° view of all its splendor and be able to see the impressive mountains that surround this beautiful landscape. After having enjoyed this beautiful viewpoint we begin our walk down the trail until we reach the Ananta sector , a stopping place to nourish ourselves with a succulent lunch. After lunch we will get ready to continue again a trail up for approximately 2 hours to the second highest point of this day, the Warmi Saya Pass (4,970 masl / 16,302 ft) from where we will continue to appreciate the Ausangate Mountain as well as the Mountain of Colors, from here it will take us an hour down the road until we reach the final point of the day at the Surini camp. Ccocha , if you still have energy we have the option of visiting Rainbow Mountain. At dusk our dinner will be ready to enjoy and then we will go to our tents to rest for our last day.

DAY 4: SURYNI CCOCHA - RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – CUSCO.
At 06.00 am, our Uno Traveler Peru team, experts in adventure treks, will offer you a wake-up tea in your tent to announce the beginning of your last day in the High Mountains of the Cusco region. Our breakfast will be served and our team ready to leave. We will try to leave as early as possible to be the first spectators of this beautiful natural place, after an hour of walking you will have reached the viewpoint of the Rainbow Mountain (5,050 masl / 16,564 feet), here you will have an incredible view and delight in the beauty of its colors. Because we are the first we can enjoy the best photographs from different angles, (once more visitors arrive it is difficult to capture a good view), after having enjoyed a good time, we begin our journey to the final point of the walk, the community of Phullawasipata located at (4,626 masl. 15,177.17 feet), on the way down we will pass through this other charming place, the Red Valley. Then we will board our transport that will take us to the stopping point for lunch. After having enjoyed our last lunch prepared by our expert adventure cook, it will be time to say goodbye to our cooks, riders and horses.
