Los Andes peruanos siempre han sorprendido a aventureros y exploradores por el encanto de sus picos, nevados y formaciones compuestas por diferentes tipos de minerales. Responsible Treks Perú ha creado este emocionante Tour de 1 día por la Montaña Arcoíris para nuestros viajeros, una aventura llena de desafíos y logros a medida que ascendemos por encima de los 5000 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Estaremos muy cerca de la Montaña Sagrada de Ausangate, considerada sagrada desde la antigüedad y la más alta de la región del Cusco. Durante nuestro recorrido, disfrutaremos de hermosas vistas de montañas, glaciares y la presencia de camélidos andinos (llamas, alpacas y vicuñas). También encontraremos construcciones típicas de los habitantes locales que aún conservan sus costumbres y tradiciones ancestrales, incluyendo su idioma quechua y vestimenta tradicional. Una aventura por los Andes peruanos que quedará grabada en tu memoria para toda la vida.
Tour Summary
- 03:30 am: Hotel pickup.
- Transportation to Cusipata, starting point of the hike
- Start of the hike towards Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain (approx. 2 hours)
- Arrival at the viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain.
- Return to the starting point of the hike (approx. 1.5 hours)
- Lunch at a local tourist restaurant
- Return to the city of Cusco. • Arrival at the hotel by 3:30 pm (time may vary).
All You Need to Know About This Tour
CUSCO – CERRO COLORADO – CUSCO
Our Professional Guide from Responsible Treks Perú will assist you very early at your hotel at 4:00 am to board you onto our private transportation and drive you for approximately 3 hours to the start of the hike in the Phullawasipata area located at 4,626 meters (15,177.17 feet) above sea level. Here, we will provide you with some hot drinks, and our Guide will give you some advice and techniques to make the hike not too difficult. Our hike to the summit will take us approximately 2 hours, and once we are at the top at 5,050 meters (16,568.24 feet) above sea level, we can enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains around the colored mountain, commonly known as Vinicunca, and the other mountain that will catch our attention will be the Sacred mountain of Apu Ausangate (6,398 meters / 20,991 feet), the highest mountain in Cusco and the fifth in all of Peru.
After enjoying the majesty of these mountains on our return trail, we will visit the Red Valley, which is very rarely visited and is also quite attractive. The return journey to the starting point will take us approximately 1 hour.
The colored hill or Vinicunca is located in the Vilcanota Mountain Range, located in the southern region of Cusco. This is a rewarding place even for the most demanding travelers and hikers, providing unforgettable memories, magnificent panoramas, formidable glaciers, crystal-clear rivers, and tranquil lakes. This new route is truly unique and more accessible, offering a real adventure through wild and preserved natural terrain.
Then we will board our private transportation that will take us to the district of Cusipata where we will enjoy a buffet lunch. After our lunch, we will board our transportation back to the city of Cusco and then to your hotel.
